"The Old Silo" - Released Sept. 16!

James Hill's latest musical offering is now available!  Produced by indie songster and rocker, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia's own Joel Plaskett, this is an album with depth and breadth.  Yours truly has snuck some cello and vocals alongside the musical talents of James, Joel, Joe Murphy and the amazing Bill Stevenson.  Listen here.

Festival Fun

A string of Canadian folk festivals starts this weekend.  I'll be playing all summer long with James Hill including appearances at the Winnipeg Folk Festival, the Vancouver Folk Festival, the Calgary Folk Festival.

Thank you, England!

What a wonderfully fun tour to England we've just completed.  Thank you to all those who hosted us, came out to support us, took workshops from us and helped us on our way. We hope to be back very soon.  New favourite English words: copse, alight and brilliant.

Oaxaca Farewell

Thank you, Oaxaca!  Had a lovely time teaching a fun-loving group at the latest Destination Arts retreat this past week. What a wonderful introduction to mezcal margaritas, eating bugs and enjoying the thriving metropolis that is this fair Mexican city.  Marching bands, brilliant colours, church bells, fresh guava juice ... a sensory sensation!

And playing in the little courtyard of a building older than my grandmother wasn't too bad, either!
