five minutes of stillness

I would like to share a new video of our arrangement of It Came Upon the Midnight Clear with you and hope you will find a corner of space to take a moment, and enjoy the stillness of this song.

The lyrics for It Came Upon the Midnight Clear were written by Unitarian pastor Edmund Sears in 1849, immediately following the Mexican-American War.  His poetry speaks of a dark world in a dreary time.  Some of us may feel like that right now.  I want to dedicate this song to all who are in need, whatever that may be: of physical comfort, of a quiet space to sleep, of a little more love, of a warm meal on the table.  You are in my thoughts.  Let this song uplift you and let the message that music provides hope ring out!

In the Morning Live Video out today!

Excited to have captured the last of summer in this brand new video.  Gorgeous camera work by Mitch Fillion of Southern Souls and I'm joined by the wonderful James Hill.  A little cameo from Alder, too!  I'm sporting a brand new dress from Ottawa designers Twiss & Weber and, no, James and I didn't match our outfits on purpose. Please click below to listen, share, comment and spread the musical love!

One More Sleep

Playing so close to home is always a treat!  If you're in Halifax tomorrow, please come see us play!  Double bill with The Bombadils so it promises to be a feel-good, folky time.

WE DID IT!

Thanks to everyone who supported the release of I Didn't Want to Break It.  Words can't express my gratitude; you helped out at a very crucial time, both for me and for this album.  The album is out now, getting great reviews, we're pressing the vinyl edition, I'm sending out perks to those who funded the release and the first music video is set for release any day now... it's all happening!  Thank you from my heart!
